2018 Longines World’s Best Racehorse and Longines World’s Best Horse Race Ceremony Set for London

The 2018 Longines World’s Best Racehorse and Longines World’s Best Horse Race Ceremony will be held on 23 January 2019 in London, England. For the first time, Longines and the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) have selected The Landmark as the host site.

 

The ceremony, now in its sixth year, will honour the three highest-rated horses in the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings as well as the Longines World’s Best Horse Race. Held in the very heart of Hong Kong, at Happy Valley Racecourse, the Longines International Jockeys’ Championship consists of four races fiercely contested by twelve world-class jockeys representing their countries or regions. The jockey accumulating the biggest score is thus crowned the winner of the championship. Over 100’000 passionate racegoers witnessed the extraordinary victory and record time of Almond Eye ridden by Christophe Lemaire at the 38th edition of the Japan Cup in association with Longines, which was run on Sunday 25 November 2018 at the Tokyo Racecourse.
