    In the run-up to the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping, the classified buildings of the Automobile Club de France (ACF) at the Place de la Concorde in the French capital are covered with a Longines poster. This unique billboard displays the Official Watch of the event, a model of the Longines DolceVita collection. The Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping, which is the 10th leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour, will take place at the Plaine de Jeux de Bagatelle from 1 to 3 July. Longines is looking forward to providing its timekeeping expertise to all the competitions of this high-level show jumping event, which will gather some of the best riders of the world.

    A press conference held today announced the new partnership between the Longines CSI Ascona and the famous Swiss watch brand. Longines becomes the Title Partner, the Official Timekeeper and the Official Watch of the 4*-show-jumping event, which takes place from 21st-24th July 2016. From 2017, the Longines CSI Ascona will be the first show-jumping competition of the highest international level in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. The Longines CSI Ascona is besides Basel, Lausanne, St. Gallen, Crans-Montana and Zurich the sixth show-jumping event in Switzerland, which benefits from the expertise and support of the successful watch company.

    Friday 24 June, eight teams competed at the 2016 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping presented by Longines in Rotterdam and five of them were chasing qualifying points. Team Netherlands made it and won in their home country this 5th leg of the Europe Division 1 League. On Sunday, the Longines Grand Prix Port of Rotterdam was won by Luciana Diniz (POR) on Fit For Fun

    On Friday, the Longines Global Champions Tour of Monaco was marked by the victory of Inigo Lopez de la Osa on Diamand and Escribano Inigo Lopez de la Osa on Cassunta Z coached by Daniel Bluman and Schuyler Riley, during the Longines Pro Am Cup. Each team involved in this competition gathers two amateur riders guided by a professional rider. The Longines team was composed of Alexandra Thornton and Anne Botella, supported by Longines Ambassador of Elegance Jane Richard.   Emanuele Gaudiano on Caspar 232 won the other highlight of the event, the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix du Prince de Monaco, on Saturday evening. The Italian athlete and the winning riders of the Longines Pro Am Cup were presented with Longines watches.   These outstanding performances, held with the magical Port Hercule and the Prince’s Palace as a backdrop, attracted many personalities. H.S.H. Prince Albert II, H.R.H. Princess Caroline of Hanover, Charlotte Casiraghi and the actress Caterina Murino were present to witness the competitions.   Longines presented the Official Watch of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Monaco, a model of the Longines DolceVita collection, which represents the contemporary elegance of the brand worldwide. This lady model in steel decorated with diamonds features a silver-coloured “flinqué” dial adorned with painted Roman numerals.   Monaco is the 9th stage of the Longines Global Champions Tour, a series, which brings together the top 30 ranked show jumpers in the world to compete in some of the world’s greatest cities. Launched in April in Miami, the circuit includes 15 legs in 15 different cities from Mexico to Doha, going through Shanghai and Paris.

    Endurance

    Longines has been appointed First Partner and Official Watch of the remainder of a host of new Endurance rides that are taking place at the iconic Euston Park, England this summer.  The rides, which comprise 80, 120 [junior and senior] and 160 km courses, are on June 19, July 16 and August 13 and follow a successful first event on May 28. They offer an unprecedented opportunity for top riders and horses from across the globe to compete at the stunning Suffolk venue, which played host to the 2012 World Endurance Championships.   On Sunday 19 June, the winner of the 160 kilometre course, Saif Ahmed Al Mozroui (UAE), received The Longines Master Collection watch, which was also the Official Watch of the race day.

    On the eve of the Prix de Diane Longines, the world’s best race for fillies, of which the Swiss watch brand is the Official Partner, Timekeeper and Watch for the sixth time, the brand launched its two horseracing TV spots.  Showcasing its long lasting passion for equestrian sports, Longines produced two videos stared by a female and a male jockey, the latter being the famous French professional jockey Maxime Guyon. %break%Each video highlights one of Longines elegant timepieces: the Longines DolceVita and The Longines Master Collection watches.     2016 marks the 10th Royal Ascot since the beginning of the Longines-Ascot partnership. Every year, this week of exceptional races, 18 in total, is highly anticipated by a large number of spectators who attend to witness the achievements of some of the world’s fastest horses. Each day begins with the Royal Procession, an iconic moment which makes this equestrian event one of Britain’s most renowned.   On Tuesday, June 14th, the watch brand Longines celebrated Caravaggio’s victory in the Coventry Stakes, awarding its owner, trainer, jockey and lad with Longines watches from The Longines Master Collection. Later in the day, Her Royal Highness Princess Anne presented the King’s Stand Stakes winners with models from the same collection.    The evening before, Her Royal Highness was honored during the fourth Longines Ladies Awards ceremony, put on by the Swiss watch brand in the majestic Natural History Museum in London. This award outlined her invaluable contribution to the equestrian world, both as a high-level athlete and at the head of key institutions for the disciplines, such as the Fédération Équestre Internationale, of which she was President for 8 years. During this ceremony, which brought together well-respected individuals in the equestrian world, Juan-Carlos Capelli, Longines Vice President and Head of International Marketing, presented her with an 18 carat rose gold pocket watch, The Longines Equestrian Pocket Watch Horses Trio 1911. A symbol of the strong ties between the winged hourglass brand and the world of equestrian sports, this piece has a skillfully crafted back featuring a trio of horses. The heads of these three proud animals stand out against a background of delicately crafted foliage. The foliage design is also featured on the piece’s case. This unique model is a very limited edition, and each piece is numbered.

    Last Saturday, the best riders in the world came together on the course of the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show for the Longines Grand Prix: a two-round trial with obstacles (1.60 m). John Whitaker was the last onto the course, and was encouraged by the lively Saint-Tropez crowd. He gave them an exceptional show and took the lead over the younger riders. He won the trial in 36.17 seconds, relegating Christian Ahlmann to second place. Simon Delestre also made the podium. He was named best rider of the show following the three days of competitions. Longines was proud to be the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show for the third year running. On this occasion, the Swiss watch brand presented the Official Watch of the event, a Longines DolceVita model, which is worn by women who know how to make the most of life’s simple pleasures.

    It was one of the highlights of this year’s Longines CSIO Schweiz St. Gallen, marked by the celebration of the 15-year partnership between the watch brand and the event: The prestigious „Longines Grand Prix der Schweiz“ was won by German rider Hans-Dieter Dreher and his gelding Cool an Easy. He was followed by Lucy Davis (USA) with Barron on the second and Janika Sprunger from Switzerland with Bonne Chance on the third place. The winner received an elegant Longines watch from the brand’s Vice-President Charles Villoz. Swiss rider Paul Estermann won the Longines Trophy, awarded to the best rider of the whole event, and was also honoured with a Longines watch. To fittingly celebrate the 15-year partnership between Longines and the Longines CSIO Schweiz St. Gallen, the company expanded its charity support for JustWorld International. The brand handed over a cheque for 15’000 meals to Jessica Newman, founder and President of JustWorld International, for the benefit of her foundation. The Official Watch of this year’s Longines CSIO Schweiz St. Gallen was a model of the Longines DolceVita collection. Since its creation, this line has been illustrating the contemporary elegance of Longines worldwide.
