Longines, the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch of the CSI 5* - W La Coruña, timed the victory of Colombia’s Carlos Enrique Lopez Lizarazo and Admara 2 at the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping on Sunday 11 December 2016. Switzerland’s Jane Richard Philips, Longines Ambassador of Elegance, on Pablo de Virton secured second place, while Germany’s Ludger Beerbaum riding Casello landed third. The week-end of show jumping competitions also featured the Longines Grand Prix on Saturday night, which was captured by Ireland’s Billy Twomey and Diaghilev. This 7th leg of the prestigious series was hosted for the very first time at the Galician five-star rated show jumping competition, which has been gaining rapid international recognition ever since its creation 16 years ago and relying on the support of Longines, its Main Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch, since 2014. On the occasion of the international show jumping competition, the spectators had the opportunity to discover the Official Watch of the event, which was a lady model of the Longines Equestrian Collection, inspired by the rectangular buckle on the show bridle of the only Swiss horse breed, the Franches-Montagnes. The piece in stainless steel showcases a silver-coloured checkerboard pattern dial decorated with diamond indexes. It belongs to a collection made up of watches with shapes and materials reminding symbolic elements of the world of horse lovers, a true celebration of riders and their mounts.   Longines has a long and distinguished association with equestrian sports. Especially the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping series hold a special place in the heart of the Swiss watchmaker as both share the common values of Elegance, Tradition and Performance. Moreover, the brand is involved as the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch of the three Longines FEI World CupTM Jumping leagues – Western European, Chinese and North American –, as well as the final of the series.  Longines’ passion for equestrian sports began in 1878 with the production of a chronograph featuring an engraved jockey and his mount. In 1912 the company had partnered for the first time with an international show jumping competition in Portugal. Today, along with show jumping, the brand is an active partner in flat racing, eventing, endurance, dressage and driving.
