    LONGINES Masters of PARIS 2019

    Swiss watchmaking brand Longines was proud to be the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch of the Longines Masters of Paris, which ended today with the great achievement of Simon Delestre and Hermes Ryan, winners of the 2019 Longines Grand Prix of Paris on home soil. The podium was completed by compatriots Kevin Staut on For Joy van’t Zorgvliet HDC, who earned second place and Roger-Yves Bost on Sangria du Coty, who secured third place. This glamorous equestrian gathering was also the opportunity for Longines to welcome its Ambassador of Elegance Jung Woo-Sung, who together with Charles Villoz, Longines Vice President Sales, granted Simon Delestre an elegant timepiece. On Friday night, Longines had the pleasure to participate as its Founding Partner in the 5th edition of the Riders Masters Cup. This unique show jumping competition opposed the two world equestrian powers, Europe and the American continent. In front of an ecstatic crowd and at the end of 10 spectacular duels, Team Europe composed of Martin Fuchs, Kevin Staut, Jos Verlooy, Darragh Kenny and Henrik von Eckermann took the win for the fifth time. On Saturday December 7, Longines timed the muchawaited Longines Speed Challenge, known as the world’s fastest trial and claimed by Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano on Carlotta 232. Eric Lamaze (CAN) and his mount Fine Lady 5 finished second ahead of Steve Guerdat (SWI) on Ulysse des Forêts. The winner of this competition was also presented with an elegant watch in celebration of his remarkable performance. During the 2019 edition of the Longines Masters of Paris, the Swiss watchmaking brand was proud to present a model of its emblematic line, The Longines Master Collection, as the Official Watch of the event.     Longines Hong Kong International Races 2019

    The Longines Hong Kong International Races delivered a thrilling conclusion to the year, featuring some of the world’s best horses and jockeys in no fewer than four Group 1 races. Joao Moreira claimed the Longines Hong Kong Vase and the Longines Hong Kong Sprint, aboard Glory Vase and Beat the Clock respectively, while Admire Mars led by Christophe Soumillon claimed the Longines Hong Kong Mile. Finally, Masami Matsuoka and Win Bright emerged victorious in the Longines Hong Kong Cup. In its role of Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the event, Longines was proud to reward the winning teams with elegant Longines timepieces. Besides, the brand’s Ambassador of Elegance Aaron Kwok had the pleasure to be part of the prize-giving ceremony of the Longines Hong Kong Cup.     Karis Teetan emerges victorious in the 2019 LONGINES International Jockeys’ Championship

    Mauritian jockey Karis Teetan shined tonight at Happy Valley racecourse (Hong Kong SAR), as he claimed the LONGINES International Jockeys' Championship title. Finishing ahead of Ryan Moore and Vincent Ho, Karis Teetan accumulated the biggest score in the four feature races of the evening, with 20 points in total. During the prize-giving ceremony, LONGINES was delighted to present the winner with an elegant timepiece. As the Official Watch of the LONGINES International Jockeys' Championship, the brand highlighted a model from The LONGINES Master Collection.     Longines unveils a new Boutique in Xi’an

    On Thursday, December 5, Swiss watch brand Longines celebrated the opening of its new Boutique in Xi’an, China. To the delight of watches aficionados, the store spreads across 56 square meters and displays a large selection of Longines timepieces.   Numerous guests attended the event, including Chinese actress Kan Qing Zi.     This afternoon at the Jumping Mechelen, in Belgium, German rider Christian Ahlmann on Clintrexo Z claimed the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ leg, in front of France’s Kevin Staut on Edesa's Cannary, second and Netherlands’ Harrie Smolders on Don VHP Z N.O.P., third. Ahlmann was presented with an elegant timepiece from the Swiss watch brand Longines, Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Western European League.

    On Saturday 22 December 2018, Great Britain’s rider Robert Whitaker on El Wee Widge earned first place on home soil at the Longines FEI Jumping World CupTM during Olympia, the London International Horse Show. Laura Kraut (USA) on Confu arrived second followed by Holly Smith (GBR) on Claddagh Iroko.     Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix

    The Swiss watch brand Longines was delighted to be the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the brand new Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix, which took place today in the magical Czech capital Prague. Gathering the 16 winners of each 2018 Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix leg and their best horses for the delight of the numerous spectators in attendance, this thrilling event perfectly combined remarkable sports performance with spectacular entertainment. On this occasion, Australian rider Edwina Tops-Alexander on California emerged victorious, thus becoming the first Champion amongst the champions.     2018 Longines World’s Best Racehorse and Longines World’s Best Horse Race Ceremony Set for London

    The 2018 Longines World’s Best Racehorse and Longines World’s Best Horse Race Ceremony will be held on 23 January 2019 in London, England. For the first time, Longines and the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) have selected The Landmark as the host site.   The ceremony, now in its sixth year, will honour the three highest-rated horses in the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings as well as the Longines World’s Best Horse Race. In the previous edition, Arrogate (USA) was celebrated as the 2017 Longines World’s Best Racehorse, while the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, which was won by Enable (GB), won the title of 2017 Longines World’s Best Horse Race.%break%The Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings are established by international handicappers according to the performance of the horses in top races. The highest rated race is determined by averaging the rankings of the first four placed horses. The full list and further information on the Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings are both available on the IFHA website http://www.ifhaonline.org.   The trophy celebrating the Longines World’s Best Racehorse is a crystal vase named Equus, whereas the Longines World’s Best Horse Race trophy represents a proud horse head. Every year, the trophies are engraved with the name of the Longines World’s Best Racehorse and Horse Race respectively, and the representatives of the winners are presented with an elegant Longines watch.
