Hong Kong’s Longines boutiques showcase trophies of the Longines Hong Kong International Races and Longines World’s Best Jockey Award
The Longines Hong Kong Cup trophy and the Longines World’s Best Jockey Award are showcased in Longines’ largest flagship store in Star House, on the bustling Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. The former is awarded to the winner of the Longines Hong Kong Cup, a Group 1 race open to thoroughbreds aged of three years or older and is run over a distance of about 1 1⁄4 miles (2,000 meters) at the Sha Tin racecourse. The latter, namely the Longines World’s Best Jockey Award – a proud joint initiative of the IFHA and Longines – is the first prize which rewards a jockey quantitatively recognized as the best among one’s global peers. It will be presented to the 2015 winner during the gala dinner organized by the Hong Kong Jockey Club on Friday 11th. In addition, on Thursday 10th, at 5:30pm, the Longines Star House boutique will host a meet-and-greet with two exceptional jockeys, Ryan Moore, winner of the inaugural Longines World’s Best Jockey Award in 2014 and Joao Moreira, winner of the Longines Hong Kong Cup and Mile that same year.
The Longines Boutique at Lee Garden is displaying the Longines Hong Kong Vase trophy. This Group 1 race is open to thoroughbreds aged three years or older and is run over a distance of 2,400 metres (about 1 1⁄2 miles).
The third trophy, presented to the winner of the Longines Hong Kong Sprint, is highlighted in the Longines boutique of Lockhart. This group 1 race is open to thoroughbreds aged of three years or older and is run over a distance of about 6 furlongs (1,200 meters).
Last but not least, the Longines Hong Kong Mile trophy is on display in the newly opened Longines boutique in MPM. This boutique will be officially inaugurated on December 10th, in presence of Longines' Ambassador of Elegance Simon Baker.
