The German leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour was won by Harrie Smolders

The fifth leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour, of which Longines is the Title Partner and the Official Timekeeper, was rounded off this Saturday in Hamburg with the remarkable win of Harrie Smolders on Don VHP Z in the weekend’s highlight competition, namely the Longines Global Champions Grand Prix of Hamburg. Therefore, Longines was delighted to grant him an elegant timepiece as a reward for his great performance.

This prestigious event was the occasion chosen by the Swiss watch brand to highlight the Official Watch of the event, its new Conquest V.H.P. “Very High Precision” model. This timepiece represents a new achievement in the field of quartz, combining great precision, high technicality, and a sporty look, marked by the brand’s unique elegance.

Longines’ passion for equestrian sport dates back to 1878, when it produced a chronograph engraved with a jockey and his mount. Three years later, it can be found on American racecourses, adopted by horse enthusiasts. In 1912, the company partnered for the first time with an international show jumping competition. Today Longines’ involvement in equestrian sports includes show-jumping, flat racing, endurance, driving, dressage and eventing competitions.
