August 05, 2018

Scott Brash (GBR) reigned supreme at the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of London

The thirteen leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour gathered this weekend some of the world’s best riders and horses. As the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the series, Longines is proud to have timed the victory of Scott Brash on Hello Mr President, ahead of Peder Fredricson on Hansson WL and Ludger Beerbaum on Casello, during the weekend’s highlight trial, the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of London. In recognition for his great achievement, Longines was delighted to grant him an elegant timepiece.

This prestigious event was the occasion chosen by the Swiss watch brand to highlight the Official Watch from the Record collection. This line combines classic elegance and excellence, aspiring to become the spearheads of the brand. Moreover, the automatic timepieces of this line house a chronometer movement with unique properties, certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC).

Longines’ passion for equestrian sport dates back to 1878, when it produced a chronograph engraved with a jockey and his mount. Three years later, it can be found on American racecourses, adopted by horse enthusiasts. In 1912, the company partnered for the first time with an international show jumping competition. Today Longines’ involvement in equestrian sports includes show-jumping, flat racing, endurance, driving, dressage and eventing competitions.
