June 06, 2015

During this year’s Longines CSIO Schweiz, St. Gallen was once again the place to be for the world’s best riders and their horses. The enthusiastic crowd was happy to attend the thrilling performances of their stars and to see equestrian sports at its highest level. The prestigious „Longines Grand Prix der Schweiz“ – one of the highlights of the event - was won by Swiss rider Romain Duguet and his mare Quorida de Treho. He was followed by Steve Guerdat (SUI) with Nino Des Buissonnets on the second and Darragh Kenny from Ireland with Sans Soucis Z on the third place. The winner received an elegant Longines watch from the brand’s President Walter von Känel. Romain Duguet won as well the Longines Trophy, awarded to the best rider of the Longines CSIO St. Gallen 2015. During the event, Longines also provided its support to the charity association JustWorld International. In this perspective, Longines set up a “Longines Clear The Jump” contest during the “Longines Grand Prix der Schweiz”. Every obstacle faultlessly cleared had Longines make a donation to JustWorld International. With this project, a total could be generated which correlates with 5000 meals for children in developing countries. The Official Watch of this year’s Longines CSIO Schweiz St. Gallen was a model of the Conquest Classic Moonphase line. This chronograph reflects at the same time the brand’s presence in the most prestigious equestrian events all over the world and the importance it attaches to its watchmaking tradition.
