July 11, 2016

Longines opened its second boutique in France, on Paris' Right Bank, at 16 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré on Tuesday 12 July

The Swiss watch brand Longines, which enjoys expertise shaped by tradition, elegance and performance, has opened its second exclusive boutique in Paris, on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. This new space adopts the style codes seen in Longines boutiques around the world, where refinement and elegance are expressed in every detail. The leather wall coverings in a warm shade of brown give the space a traditional feel and a timeless atmosphere.

This eagerly awaited boutique opening will enable clients and collectors to enjoy an exceptional moment in the new Longines setting and admire the brand's iconic pieces and more recent models, such as the new Longines Equestrian Collection.
An exclusive museum area and VIP lounge located on the first floor will transport visitors into the world of Longines. Some ten exceptional pieces are on display in this museum area, retracing the history of the brand: one of the first movements produced by Longines in 1869, a 1907 Lépine pocket watch in 18-carat gold that received a Universal Exhibition Grand Prix, a 1912 hunter-case pocket watch in 18-carat yellow gold, as well as simple watches or chronographs and ladies' wristwatches.
The elegance of Longines is born of precision. In 1867, the first Longines movement, the calibre 20A, was awarded a prize at the Paris Universal Exhibition. Thus began an impressive series of successes: Longines is the only brand in the world to have received 10 Grands Prix at Universal Exhibitions, including three in Paris.%break%
The Longines Museum, located in Saint-Imier, has temporarily relocated to the heart of Paris. To mark this occasion, Longines is particularly honoured to present a film of great historical value. At the dawn of cinema, we enter into the heart of the world of Longines in 1908.
Among the services offered on the first floor, a watchmaker will be delighted to explain the technical features of each watch and offer an after-sales service for all the models available in the boutique.

Longines has been a proud partner of the equestrian world since the brand's beginnings, as demonstrated by the engravings on many of its pocket watches. Throughout the 20th century, the brand's passion for horses continued to grow. Longines became timekeeper for the most prestigious races and incorporated horses into its adverts, with all their splendour, energy and diversity. Horses enhance the elegance of the men and women who accompany them, just like Longines watches, which are a guarantee of elegance for those who wear them.
This second boutique opening in France conveys more than 180 years of watchmaking tradition, a passion for elegance and the constant innovations of the Longines brand.
