La Cressonnière is 2016 Prix de Diane Longines champion

The 167th Prix de Diane Longines, which took place on Sunday 19 June 2016 at the sumptuous Chantilly racecourse, held once again all its promises and offered to an impressively large audience nine exciting races, including the Prix de Diane Longines, the world's top race for fillies, which was won by Christian Demuro on La Cressonnière. The Swiss watchmaker Longines, the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch of the event, celebrated this amazing victory and awarded The Longines Master Collection watches to the winning jockey, owner and trainer. Longines Ambassador of Elegance and Asian actor Eddie Peng presented the Longines timepieces to the three winners of the day, as well as the most elegant lady at the racecourse, Alexia Masseron, whose outstanding style was honored with the “Mademoiselle Diane par Longines” prize. She received a Longines DolceVita watch, which is the same model as the Official Watch of the event, cased in steel, decorated with diamonds, featuring a silver-coloured “flinqué” dial adorned with painted Roman numerals and set on a red leather bracelet

Moreover, amongst the nine races which unrolled in Chantilly, the Prix Longines Future Racing Stars and the Prix de La Reine Marie-Amélie Longines are particularly dear to the Swiss watchmaker. These two races put in the spotlight the remarkable skills of young jockeys from all around the world and the lady riders of the International Federation of Gentlemen and Lady Riders (FEGENTRI), of which the Swiss brand is the Official Partner and Watch. The brand had thus the great honor to award The Longines Master Collection watch as well as a school bursary to Conor Mcgovern from Ireland, who crossed first the finishing line on Fawley. Debora Fioretti riding Palang was the winning lady rider.

Longines is for the sixth time the Official Partner, Timekeeper and Watch of the Prix de Diane Longines. This association is part of its partnership with France Galop, which was renewed last year. Under this partnership, Longines is the Official Timekeeper for the racing days organized at the Chantilly, Deauville and Longchamp racetracks, including the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and the Prix du Jockey Club.
