Waldgeist wins the 98th edition of the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe
On Sunday 6 October 2019, in ParisLongchamp (France), Waldgeist led by Pierre-Charles Boudot crossed first the finishing line of the 2,400-metre Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, rewarding the ten thousands of spectators with a truly thrilling race day.
As the Official Partner and Timekeeper of the event, the Swiss watch brand Longines was also proud to present the Prix de l’Abbaye de Longchamp Longines, won by Glass Slippers led by Tom Eaves and the Prix de l’Opéra Longines, which was claimed by Villa Marina ridden by Olivier Peslier.
To celebrate their outstanding performance, Longines rewarded the jockey, trainer and owner of both winning horses with elegant Longines timepieces.
For the 9th consecutive year, Longines was proud to be associated to all races held during Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe weekend. This most awaited horseracing event earned its worldwide reputation receiving the prestigious 2015, 2017 and 2018 Longines World’s Best Horse Race awards.
