Remarkable victory of Team Europe at the Riders Masters Cup during the Longines Masters of Paris
December 01, 2018
The third day of the Longines Masters of Paris was marked by the victory of team Europe over team USA in the Riders Masters Cup, an innovative show jumping competition between the two major equestrian powers, the United States and Europe, in a never before seen transatlantic battle. Indeed, the winning team composed of Maikel van der Vleuten on Idi Utopia, Eduardo Alvarez Aznar on Rokfeller de Pleville Bois Margot, Edward Levy on Rebeca LS, Harry Charles on Victor and Daniel Deusser on Jasmien v. Bisschop were notably congratulated by the United States Ambassador to France, Jamie McCourt. The American team will however have the opportunity to take its revenge at the Longines Masters of New York on April 27, 2019, in the second leg of the competition.
As the Official Partner and Official Timekeeper of the Longines Masters, Longines is looking forward to the next weekend’s highlight trial, the Longines Grand Prix, which will take place on Sunday.
The Longines Masters of Paris is the perfect opportunity for the spectators to discover the Official Watch of the event, the Conquest V.H.P. GMT Flash Setting. Sporty and elegant, this watch is a must-have for travel lovers, as it allows them to easily change time zones either manually, following watchmaking tradition, or by using the smart “Flash Setting” system that sets the watch using flash pulses from a smartphone. This timepiece revolutionizes both watchmaking precision and the user experience, expanding Longines’ Conquest V.H.P. “Very High Precision” family, following the three-handed and chronograph versions.

Longines’ passion for equestrian sport dates back to 1878, when it produced a chronograph engraved with a jockey and his mount. Three years later, it can be found on American racecourses, adopted by horse enthusiasts. In 1912, the company partnered for the first time with an international show jumping competition. Today Longines’ involvement in equestrian sports includes show-jumping, flat racing, endurance, driving, dressage and eventing competitions.Discover the Blue Horse
