Longines is proud to become the Presenting Partner, Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of CHI AL SHAQAB, as well as the Main Partner and Official Watch of the Longines Hathab – Qatar Equestrian Tour.
Created in 2013, CHI AL SHAQAB - the only equestrian event of its kind in the Middle East - welcomes top-ranking local and international riders annually to compete in the disciplines of showjumping, dressage, and para dressage.
Al Shaqab’s Executive Director and CHI AL SHAQAB President, Khalifa Al Attiya, said: “Al Shaqab is delighted to enter into a long-term partnership with Longines, a well-established global brand, especially known for the role it plays in the field of equestrian sports. Our association has been a close one for quite a while, with Al Shaqab hosting the Longines Global Champions Tour annually since 2013. This association will be raised to even greater heights with Longines having the naming rights to Al Shaqab’s main arena and title rights to our signature event, CHI AL SHAQAB. This will surely enhance the stature of CHI AL SHAQAB in the world of equestrian sports.”
Longines Vice President Marketing, Matthieu Baumgartner, declared: “We are particularly proud to further cement our relationship and to be more closely associated with Al Shaqab, member of Qatar Foundation. We are looking forward to entering this new partnership, by becoming the Presenting Partner, Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of CHI AL SHAQAB, as well as the Main Partner and Official Watch of the Longines Hathab – Qatar Equestrian Tour. This collaboration reinforces Longines’ long-lasting passion for the equestrian world, which dates back one century and half.”
CHI AL SHAQAB presented by Longines will be held in Doha on February 27-29, 2020.
