Today, the Rugby Sevens draw for the upcoming Commonwealth Games, of which Longines is the Official Timekeeper, took place at Robina Stadium in Gold Coast, Australia. Juan-Carlos Capelli, Vice President of Longines and Head of International Marketing, as well as Australian and international Rugby Sevens players, attended this exciting event.

Longines watch boxes were used for the Men’s and Women’s Rugby Sevens draws. The boxes, containing the V.H.P. Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, a special edition of the Conquest V.H.P. meant as a tribute to the Games, also displayed the names of the countries participating in the Rugby Sevens competition.

As Presenting Partner of Rugby Sevens, Longines is looking forward to the competition, featuring some of the best teams in the world. Besides, for the first time in the history of the Commonwealth Games, women’s rugby competition will also be held at Robina Stadium, from 13 to 15 April 2018.
